Strange Mail Club
Strange Material's snail-mail art publishing project. Each month, you'll receive a package of original Risograph-printed work made in collaboration with an Aotearoa-based artist.
As issues are published, you'll find showcases and updates on our Instagram. We're just getting started with this project, so we appreciate your support while we find our voice alongside our artist-collaborators!
Contents
- A limited-edition A6 art print in multiple colours
- 2 stickers
- A newsletter with information about the month's artist & updates from SM
Are you an artist?
Make a pitch! We're excited to publish all kinds of work, including illustrations, photographs, and typographic compositions. Contact us with an idea, and we'll discuss the finer details including remuneration. Don't worry if you're not familiar with the Risograph printing process—we're happy to teach you about it & how to create for it.
We encourage pitches for art with political messages that align with the principles adopted in our constitution. Namely, section 5.2.2: "active opposition to oppressive and coercive systems, whether social or legal".
